Does indeed make sense. I’m still checking back to see if anyone’s posting.

Reviews / Re: Has anyone tried Gauvine thongs?
« on: April 06, 2024, 07:46:50 PM »
Guess you probably went ahead. Missed this until now. I’ve bought a few Gauvine’s from DGU myself. Great do,our selections in the Colours of the Planet range, particularly the purple.

So far I’ve been impressed for the price. They wash well and aren’t falling apart unlike some of the other brands I’ve had. I think they’re better made than Doreanse. I’ve found Doreanse can be a hit and miss and have thrown a few pairs away, which I haven’t done with other brands.

The Gauvine Colours of the Planet 1000 and 1005 ranges are the ones I’ve bought. 1000 is similar to some of the Doreanse ones I’ve bought in terms of coverage at the front is very generous. They look more like briefs from the front. The strap isn’t too wide though, so I guess they’ve got a bit of best of both worlds going on!

I think they are fairly true to size.

General Discussion / Re: Andrew Christian - Increased selection

They have really upped their game with thongs the last few years in my view. I own a fair few now. Know what you mean about them being flamboyant, which I don’t mind, but not always tasteful either (which I do mind). I bought a jock from them a while ago and didn’t realise until it arrived it had “Trophy Boy” on the waistband.  ::) Don’t know how I missed that.

Wore one of their Y-back thongs yesterday. Dare I say it but I actually prefer their Y backs to C-IN2’s now and I own a load of C-IN2’s. The modal fabric Andrew Christian has is incredibly comfy. I have one Y back that is black but the string is blue, which is a nice contrast.

I’ve recently treated myself to the Happy Modal thong in both colours (pink and charcoal). The material is so soft. https://www.andrewchristian.com/products/happy-modal-thong-w-almost-nakedr?variant=44502619619563

Probably one of my favourites from them in recent years is the Almost Naked Glamour thong. Like the design and the material is again very soft.

They wash and wear very well.

Questions and Opinions / Re: Manstore and Cocksox Thongs
« on: January 09, 2024, 10:14:16 PM »
Did xzate08 try either in the end?

For what my opinion’s worth, Cocksox are very comfortable and ideal for daily wear. I’ve got a few in the original pouch in that “Supplex” fabric. The thong strap/back is thicker than most HOM/Olaf Benz but that doesn’t bother me. I find the pouch doesn’t make my junk protrude too much.

When it comes to Manstore, perhaps unsurprisingly there really isn’t much between how they feel or wear than Olaf Benz. I find with both I rarely need to “size up” as I do with other brands. They tend to wash very well and don’t lose elasticity but follow the instructions to the letter just to be on the safe side.

The “tower” strings I’ve owned tend to be have a little less coverage at the front than other brands and especially the Cocksox for example.

Other brands worth a try, especially if looking on Dead Good Undies -
Gauvine as they’re on the cheaper side, range of different colours and seem well made;
Gregg Homme - these may be more expensive but they last and last and the fabrics they use are really comfortable;
TeamM8 - been really impressed with these and the Icon and Spartacus styles remind me of Calvin Klein Body Thong/Yves Saint Laurent thong designs from early-mid 2000s, combining a classic male underwear waistband style with an almost triangle back thong style: I find them really comfortable for all occasions and again they are releasing some different colours;

Cut4Men - not sure how much longer these will be available as I’d read Joe Snyder was ceasing production, so assume same applies for Cut4Men. I find they have a more relaxed fit than their cousin Joe Snyder styles - less snug but similar quality. They wash well but definitely recommend hand wash. Some of the materials - metallic prints - perhaps aren’t everyday wear but they’re comfortable.  Seem to have a fair few in stock on Dead Good Undies;

Modus Vivendi - if you want to go for some different designs and materials!

Questions and Opinions / Re: Exposed or concealed waistband?
« on: June 16, 2022, 01:23:45 PM »
Most of my thongs are concealed waistband. I get where you’re coming from on the drawbacks of the exposed waistband styles. I do have a number of exposed waistband ones though and to be honest I’m likelier to wear them for leg day at the gym because of the support they offer.
So many of the first thongs for men I owned were that  exposed waistband style though because they were the ones stocked in bricks and mortar stores - long thrown out now.

Of the exposed waistband ones I didn’t throw out and acquired more of the same style, which get the most wear, are my C-in2/2xist/Andrew Christian y-back styles. I own two Ergowear  MAX style thongs and they’re seldom worn. The Ergowear FeelGr8” and SLK styles I own though are worn a lot.

Hey Explorer.

You might want to take a look at some of the Gregg Homme styles at the moment. When I googled the CK carousel thong, it instantly brought to mind the Bubble and Voyeur styles, which I’ve bought in quite a few of the colours. The waistbands are quite similar.

Hey Pjw1592.

I’m from the U.K. too and have been a full time thong wearer for at least 12 years (been wearing them most days since 2005).
My first experience of seeing a man wearing a thong was a scene on a TV programme with male strippers. They were being ogled by women, so a positive depiction but granted most men don’t have the same body type. I have however since seen plenty of scenes where the mickey has been taken out of men wearing thongs. However, I can think of other scenes where I’ve seen a guy being made to look silly wearing oversized boxers.

As well as thongs being dismissed as “feminine,” I used to hear or read others dismissing them as “gay,” which is equally daft. Many thongs for men are designed to enhance the way the penis looks so are arguably more masculine than other types of underwear. At the end of the day notions about thongs being “feminine” are other people’s hang-ups.

As others have alluded to, other people don’t have to know what you’re wearing underneath your jeans/trousers/shorts etc anyway.

Questions and Opinions / Re: Joe Snyder
« on: December 07, 2021, 01:23:24 AM »
I love Joe Snyder but agree that the sizing can be inconsistent. One of the first tanga 03 thongs, which I bought in a really nice purple colour - wet look fabric - was looser fitting than subsequent ones I bought as was the purple dazzling bulge thong.

To be honest though and I’ve said this before one of the reasons I love this brand so much, apart from the fact that they tend to be so well made and last well, is I really like the slightly more snug fit of them. I like and get quite aroused from the feel of the strap between my cheeks.

General Discussion / Re: How did you get started?
« on: December 07, 2021, 01:04:44 AM »
I was in high school when they became really popular and used to get aroused most days seeing whaletails.  I’d go home and look at sites with galleries of women wearing them and reward myself for a hard day’s work at school!!
I had a fetish for them by the age of 12 and one day I stumbled across the Kiniki site and saw their range of men’s thongs. Curiosity at what they’d feel like to wear started and it awakened my lust for men too. I found a few website with pictures of men wearing thongs and would alternate between pictures of women and men depending on my mood.

I’d see tv programmes with men wearing thongs from time to time, at least one man sunbathing in a thong when we went on holiday every summer and discovered that Debenhams and House of Fraser stocked thongs for men. I can remember looking at one in Debenhams and getting a hard-on.

It wasn’t until I was 18 that I finally started buying them. One day I was shopping by myself and a lady bent over in front of me to pick something up and her thong was on display. I snapped and marched straight to House of Fraser and bought my first Hom Fredy string. A few weeks later I returned and bought a Calvin Klein sports thong and another Hom Fredy. Debenhams used to stock YSL thongs, which were basically the same design as a Calvin Klein body thong only slightly better made.

It snowballed from there and especially when I started buying online.

General Discussion / Re: who wears thongs 24/7 and where are you from

I’ve been wearing thongs and g-strings for 17 years and virtually 24/7 for 11 of them. I’m from just outside of Cardiff in the U.K.

Yes, I can empathise with mbit - I need to purge ones I don’t wear. I did actually throw a few that were in my bottom drawer that I didn’t realise I still owned out recently but I need to be a bit more brutal than that!

My other one would be continuing to aim to have 2 leg days per week.

General Discussion / Re: G Strings
« on: December 13, 2020, 06:16:34 AM »
I alternate now but when I started it was wearing styles like the CK body thong, which in 2004/5 had a narrower back than later ones looked, and the 2xist y back thong that got me used to feeling comfortable wearing thongs. I sought out styles with thinner backs after wearing my first 2xist and this led to me owning more g-strings than thongs for a while.

However, I later found styles with thicker backs didn’t feel uncomfortable any more a few years later so branched out.

If we’re lucky, the weather in April may be warm enough to thong outside but, there’s no certainty as it’s always unpredictable here.

You can say that again!  ;D  Do you remember the last week or so of March 2012? We had the mini heatwave all around the country with temperatures at 20 Celsius or above pretty much everywhere. Never thought I’d be having a BBQ in late March but it was perfect weather for one. The following year March was bitterly cold and we had one of the coldest springs on record. Even April was cool compared to normal in 2013.

We had great weather this April I thought and I can definitely remember a few other years where we’ve had prolonged stretches of dry and sunny days in April than later months including July.

Hi. Fellow Brit here - I’m in the currently dull as dishwater part that is Wales.
That dull as dishwater place you live in has some of my favorite beaches for wearing a thong on the beach, I think you are the fortunate one here....love Wales..

Sent from my SM-P605 using Tapatalk

There are definitely lots of quiet beaches where you can be left alone for sure.

Re the dull as dishwater point when I posted my first comment we’d had successive overcast, cold and wet days, which didn’t help! They’ve also introduced more restrictions in Wales on the leisure and hospitality sector in the last fortnight eg pubs and restaurants  can’t serve alcohol and have to close by 6pm, which has meant lots have simply closed as it’s not viable to open. I don’t tend to eat and drink out that often but it’s the knock-on effect it’s causing. Other places aren’t getting footfall now either. You drive through town centres and the outskirts and it feels like a ghost town at the moment.
