Unfortunately, this brand has discontinued all their thongs.

Overall, I wouldn't regard Doreanse as anything of a favourite in my books but I like the excellent selection that they have. I have yet to try their normal cut/non-g-string thongs and so I'd likely review those in the future.

Doreanse is a Turkish brand of underwear that's quite easily available in the UK, whether through Amazon or DeadGoodUndies. The company has been around since 2004 and it appears that it is a textile maker too (of which Turkey is a major exporter). They have been making a very large selection of thongs and g-strings, along with thong bodysuits, which are rarer as far as I'm aware. They also make underwear and lingerie for women in addition to men.

I bought two, both from DeadGoodUndies, which I think seems to be the main supplier in the UK.

1390 Aire String
https://www.deadgoodundies.com/doreanse-1390-aire-string

Unlike what its name suggests, this string has a thong back although, from the front, it is practically indistinguishable from a g-string. This thong is made of polyamide and as such is very soft and elastic. However, I had a few qualms about it since I thought that the string waistband ended up being smaller than expected, making prolonged wear not as comfortable as I'd hope. The back has a great width for a thong and I found it comfortable. The pouch is snug but also not very roomy; it has a bit more of a flat front which I didn't mind, and that also means there isn't much of a bulge. I think the thong itself looks very nice and sexy, and the quality also appears to be pretty great in my opinion.

1330 Micro Modal ECO Thong
https://www.deadgoodundies.com/doreanse-1330-micro-modal-eco-thong

Hilariously, this one is labelled a thong when it is truly a g-string. This one is made of a soft micro modal fabric which I really liked. However, I had the same issues with the 1390 string in that the waistband felt a bit tighter than I'd hoped it would be. Perhaps I'm just not as big a fan of g-strings as I am for normal bikini thongs. This one is a bit more lowrise than the 1390, and as such the pouch is very snug, and I found it to be on the small side. The bulge is likewise not very apparent, but I didn't mind that. The back was very nice though, as I didn't feel like I was wearing anything. Build quality is similarly nice.

I think the pouch is indeed slightly gappy, but not enough that it'll go anywhere  :P

I recently learnt that this brand is discontinuing their thong line, which frankly really saddens me given how excellent some of their products are. Many of the thongs shown above aren't on widespread sale anymore, whether in Singapore or otherwise.  :(

I was quite surprised to see that there isn't already a 2(X)IST review thread given how widespread the brand appears to be. The Los Angeles-based American brand likely doesn't need any introduction, perhaps being one of the brands most consistently selling thongs. Unfortunately, 2(X)IST appears to focus on making Y-Back thongs, which frankly aren't my favourite type of thong. I currently own a single thong from 2(X)IST, the Sliq Micro Thong which I shall review below:

Sliq Micro Y-Back Thong

The Sliq Micro Y-Back Thong appears to be the more premium thong offering from 2(X)IST, given its significant price premium over their essential line of thongs. This difference in price tag shows with this thong's premium look and feel, as well as its excellent build quality. The thong is very sturdy, uses thick fabric, and frankly looks very beautiful. This came with a price though, since I did feel that the elastic waistband is very stiff. I also did not really like the thick polyester fabric material which seems very akin to swimwear. In fact, I would be very happy to use this thong as a swimsuit given how similar it looks to one, but the Y-back shape has so far stopped me from actually trying it as a swimsuit. Being polyester though, the fabric is very quick to dry (hence adding more weight in favour of the swimsuit argument). Apart from that, I did think the pouch is reasonably comfortable and also very roomy despite appearing rather flat-looking front. The strap on the Y-Back did feel a bit too wide for my liking and gives a bit sore of a sore feeling after prolonged wear. Overall, the quality of this Malaysia-made thong is exceptional, reflective of its higher price tag. I did not like this thong enough for me to have pulled the trigger on trying other 2(X)IST thongs, but I am not closed to the idea of trying other 2(X)IST thongs when the time is right.

Reviews / Re: Orlvs Underwear (Chinese brand) + Adannu
« on: January 27, 2023, 03:51:42 AM »
This next section is for Adannu, which looks like a sister brand to Orlvs. Frankly, I don't know what the difference is between the two since many of their items seem quite similar (although Orlvs looks to be noticeably sleeker). However, the Adannu thong I got does look to be different to the Orlvs Black one despite both being made of modal:

Adannu Modal Thong

I've seen this thong quite often, whether on Amazon or in various small stores in Asia selling men's underwear. This thong is apparently made of modal, much like the Orlvs Black one, but this one was noticeably less soft to the touch. The cut/shape of this thong itself looks very standard and is frankly nothing special. The back isn't too wide or too narrow. The waistband isn't too stiff and is relatively elastic, so I have no complaints about that. The pouch is relatively flat, but not so much that it was uncomfortable. However, I do feel that this thong is very supportive and thus is perhaps very appropriate for sports. The quality of it looks apparently better compared to the Orlvs one though since this one had relatively neater stitching. Overall, I think this is an average thong that may be useful as an introduction to thong underwear. It's nothing interesting in terms of design or comfort, but it does the job.

Reviews / Orlvs Underwear (Chinese brand) + Adannu
« on: January 27, 2023, 02:06:17 AM »
ORLVS, ADANNU, MNK, OBSO, BS, and PLAYPUMP
Orlvs is a Chinese brand of underwear that is produced by the same company producing other brands of underwear (at least according to Aliexpress), including Adannu, OBSO, MNK, PLAYPUMP, and 'BS' Underwear (not sure if BS is a deliberate name). Of those, it looks like MNK and PLAYPUMP do not carry men's thongs. I've seen both Orlvs and Adannu branded underwear being sold quite often on various online merchants, in addition to the odd brick-and-mortar shop in Asia, and have been curious to try them. Like many Chinese products, of course, the prices on Aliexpress are absurdly cheap. I got an Orlvs BLACK Thong in white as well as an Adannu modal thong, both of which I'll be reviewing. I'll first start with Orlvs:

I don't want to speak in a pejorative sense, but I think it's quite evident that many Chinese products feature designs copied from other brands. Frankly enough, based on a quick browse of Aliexpress, many Orlvs products are also reminiscent of certain brands like C-IN2:

ORLVS BLACK Thong

However, I must hand it out to them on this Orlvs Black Thong, since I feel this looks like a creative design that I'm not aware has been done by any other brands. It frankly looks unique and great. When looking at the pictures, my biggest worry was about the back strap, which appears to be made with the same material as the waistband. But my fears were alleviated when it became clear how soft and flexible both the elastic band and the strap are. In fact, the material of the thong is simply excellent. The pouch is made with a very soft modal fabric, and the elastic bands are the softest exposed waistbands I've ever felt. As such, I felt that this thong is very comfortable to wear. The pouch was a bit on the small side but fit my package fine enough. The modal is quite elastic, but it doesn't make a very protruding bulge. I did not like that the back strap and the waistband aren't sewn into place, so the strap could move around. Objectively speaking, the build quality did not look especially excellent since there are many lose threads and the stitching isn't the neatest around (but I'm not complaining, given how cheap it is)

Look: 4/5
Comfort: 5/5
Quality: 3/5

Whenever I get a new thong, I'd usually try it on just before taking a shower to see how it feels and wash it afterwards. Then if I like it enough, I'd put it into my rotation, all washed and ready to use  ;D

General Discussion / Re: Best Thongs to sleep in? Recommendations
« on: January 26, 2023, 09:08:50 AM »
I definitely like thongs that don't have an exposed waistband for sleeping as I find them to tangle a lot, and I usually go for anything with a soft, breathable fabric. So far, I find myself really liking most thongs made of modal as they are so soft.

I thought it might be neat to keep a list of major brands carrying men's thongs... I could only think of the following on the top of my mind. I would appreciate it if you guys could add any more to the list!! cheers

Americas
Jockey (USA)
Calvin Klein (USA)

Europe
HOM (France)
Versace (Italy)
Intimissimi (Italy)
Diesel (Italy)
Emporio Armani (Italy) - Not always available though
Punto Blanco (Spain)
ASOS (UK) - online department store

Asia and the Pacific
Wacoal - BROS by Wacoal Men (Japan)
Aussiebum (Australia) - I'm not sure if this one qualifies as a major brand though.

General Discussion / Re: Semi sheer recommendations
« on: January 26, 2023, 08:38:00 AM »
I think the Gregg Homme Torridz thong is a great semi-sheer thong... I think they are a bit pricey but definitely a well-built thong. Failing that, I think thongs made with a nice microfibre nylon and spandex blend would be great alternative since such fabric is semi-sheer but still soft on the skin.

General Discussion / Re: OTD (Obsessive Thong Disorder)
« on: January 26, 2023, 08:34:49 AM »
Harmless, YES!
Fun, YES!

I figured most of us are afflicted with the same OTD problem.
Symptoms include:
Irrational desire for more thongs
Attraction to new color or design
Overwhelming feeling of happiness when stepping into a new thong
Feeling of being unique
Feeling of being sexy
Love of having your buns exposed
Attraction to others wearing a thong
Choosing thong underwear over any other type whenever possible
Having only thong swimwear for beach or pool wear or at the very least having a thong in your bag to wear if the situation presents itself
Desire for thongs as gifts for birthdays, Christmas or special occasions
Being a member of a thong forum

If I forgot any additional symptoms please feel free to add.

Happy Christmas to all that partake.

This really is an excellent list!! I tend to browse for new thongs whenever I get bored... I haven't gone doing the whole switch to thong swimwear yet, but I always keep one on hand with me or better yet, wear one under another swimsuit.
