Hey Explorer, welcome and well done for wanting to try out thongs.

Think about wearing a shirt. There's lots of different makes and models and fits, right? With thongs it's pretty much the same. The only difference is that the fit is even more important since thongs are underwear. Not only that, but there are different factors that contribute to make a specific model of thong underwear comfortable or not; fabric, fit, type of stitching (which is soo important to make a thong comfortable in the backside). It took me some trial and error to find the models I like the best.

My advice is trying thongs from Olaf Benz. They're not cheap, but the quality is really great. They're one of my favourite makers and their products are comfortable for all day wear. Good luck!

When is an underage person "ready" to wear thongs? This is always a delicate topic.
I'm posting because I remember how much I wanted to wear skimpy underwear when I was 14. My parents did not want me to wear skimpy underwear at all, and would not buy them for me. Still, in secret, I made my own thongs and skimpy shorts by cutting up old briefs and boxers.
All in all, I think that if your son wants to wear thongs and he is able to do it responsibly (in private), there would be no problems. Giving him thongs for his birthday, since he seems to want them so much, is a nice thought. I'm a little bit envious. I would avoid throwing away all his boxers though, starting slowly is fine.

I try to be active without going to the gym, actually. I work out at home (calisthenics, couple dumbbells, a bench) and I go running. When I work out at home - especially in the summer - I tend to wear only my underwear or swimwear, and that means a thong or a g string 95% of the time. When I go running I wear a t shirt and short running shorts - and often a thong underneath.

Is it a deal breaker for you if your partner is not into thongs? I'm trying to ask this girl out but she doesn't seem to be into thongs. I'm not going to impose my underwear preference on her, but I just hope that she understands my liking for thongs.

I would only have a little problem (but not necessarily to the point of immediate breakup!) if my partner hated my thongs or just barely tolerated them. If she didn't want to wear them, it wouldn't be an issue - although I'd probably attempt to have her try wearing thongs, as I prefer thonging in company.
A former girlfriend of mine hated when I wore them, and tried to "forbid" me to wear them at the beach; our relationship did not end because of thongs, but because of difference in attitudes. And the way she dealt with my thong wearing habits was just an example.

All good questions - i have a lot of JS styles.  I have mostly bulge thongs from them, the regular thong has a nice fit, covers a bit more in the front vs the bulge or Rio styles.  The kini is super sexy, the pouch doesn’t give a ton of support as the bikini has string sides.  The back is 1/2 coverage that sort of ends up as a thong after a bit...i think the look is very sexy but just be aware.  I would NOT go for the polyester material they have as it doesn’t stretch much but the regular material can vary a bit...but does stretch a good amount.  You can use it as both swimwear and underwear...the non-white colors are opaque when when even though there’s no liner.  The material dries very fast, is very comfortable etc.  Let me know if this helps and if you have more questions.

I was looking at it as well, since g-strings have been all I wore this summer at the beach. What can you tell me about the size of the front? And the strings don't look very comfortable...

As the original owner of this thread, I'll start writing again about my experiences at the beach.
I went to the seaside a couple of times in the last two weeks. As I prefer my beaches to be quiet and peaceful, I went during working days' mornings, thanks to my job being part time for the moment. My goal this summer is to get a perfect, as defined as possible g-string tanline - I'm falling in love with the look. So far, then, I always went to the beach bringing only a g-string as my swimsuit. And as I expected I ended up sharing my favourite pier with the same couple of 60/70-year old ladies as last year. They have been even friendlier than last summer, greeting me and engaging in small talk (I must say, I do tend to be polite with everyone). My attire never drew any type of comment. I guess you could say we're all territorial animals  But hey, it's a nice place for sunbathing, so I don't mind sharing.

Great story!  I think that its interesting that people on here have chatted that their GFs ask them to wear thongs given the environment where most women (or so i have heard) would die if their BFs wore thongs for any reason.  I like that your GF likes that about you and encourages it though!

Yeah Underlvr, thanks! You're right: people who appreciate thongs on men seem to be a minority. Indeed, my previous girlfriend started laughing when she saw me wearing thong underwear, and said that she would leave me if I wore thong swimwear at the beach.
My fiancé now instead does not only tolerate my thonging, but also encourages me. She even convinced me to wear swimsuits that are skimpier than hers...
