It was in ‘83 or ‘84 and I was 12 or 13. I saw a movie on HBO with a guy in it wearing a thong. Didn’t know what it was called or where to get one but loved it. I took a pair of Fruit of the Loom tighty whities and cut the sides out to make the thong back and pouch. I wore those every chance I got.

I think genital piercings are more common but it’s not a mainstream thing. I have a PA and scrotal piercings. I love them.

I have 6yr old son and I only wear thong and g-string underwear. He’s seen me wearing many times and laughs because it’s so small.  Besides that its not a big deal here.
