Title: Air Travel In A Thong
Post by: thongnz on June 08, 2019, 05:20:26 AM
So I thought I would try air travel in a thong since I’d never done it. I regularly wear thongs working out, running, days at work, etc but had never tried while travelling. It was a short flight of about 4 hours plus all the time in the airports at both ends. I have to say, with all the sitting down it’s not too comfortable. It starts to get uncomfortable in the crack hah! I was wearing my Joe Snyder Bulge and they’re usually comfortable all day if I’m moving around. I’ll try wearing it again on the flight back and see if it’s the same.

Anyone else travel wearing thongs? Any tips or similar experiences?

I wear thongs all the time including for travel.  I've not had an issue with them being uncomfortable.

For me it's more about the model I'm wearing. There's some that are fine for a normal day but would not wear for work. I have some that I'll wear especially for seating longer hours. It really depends.

I have traveled plenty while wearing a thong. For me, it really depends on how long the travel time is. I've been on 5+ hour flights and driven for 5+ hours as well and it can get uncomfortable at times. I've noticed that my smaller thongs, or a G-string thong, tend to do better for extended travel. A more full thong can still bunch or ride up causing discomfort.

I’m always wearing a thong, even when traveling. I’ve noticed the discomfort you described when I wear a thong that’s made from a thicker material. Try a thinner soft fabric one or a g-string and it’ll be more comfortable for extended periods of sitting.

I think you have to wear the right shorts/pants as well. Last week, I drove to Toronto and it was a six hour drive. I had jeans on, and I got a lot of marks on my ass because of my jeans. So on my way back, I wore shorts.

Always wear a thong when flying but agree the tighter the thong it can cause comfort issues.

Do you find your Joe Snyder Bulge thong is one of the tighter ones that causes comfort issues?

Thanks for all your replies. I’ll try it again today wearing my Camo JS Bulge with my compression leggings instead of jeans. Will see how that goes.

Perhaps I'm the only one but JS is the brand I like the least. I don't like the material and the cuts (sizing) are hit and miss. I was surprised to find JJSox in Amazon and they're quite comfy.

Oh, and I'm definitely not getting paid for supporting that brand. But I'm just really pleased with them. Better than the iKingsky that someone recommended.

That’s all good. Everyone has their favourite brand. Any particular JJSox model you recommend?

I like the JS bulge thong but not for travel or when I’m going to be sitting for extended periods of time. The strap tends to become uncomfortable.

Yeah so it was better but still a little bit of discomfort at the top of the t. I don’t think it was the compression leggings that made a difference. I think my camo JS Bulge are actually softer than the black.

I’ve not experienced much discomfort travelling tbh. Try going for the softest and stretchiest thongs you have. I don’t find Joe Snyder the comfiest of all the thongs out there tbh, i can see maybe why they’d become irritable whilst travelling. Sukrew ‘full thongs’ are my daily go to, and I’ve never had any complaints whilst travelling. Maybe try those

Yeah I have two JS thongs, and they’re certainly not for daily wear. I think JS thongs are not comfy because their thong straps are not stretchy. I get that tight feeling when I wear a JS thong. Some of you might be into that, but I don’t want to have that tight feeling all day.

After reading these posts, I realize that I usually don't have a thong air travel problem I tend to wear my Jockey Seamfree thongs when I travel.  I guess that I picked them for travel comfort without really thinking about it.

I wear a thong every day to work, home, even at the gym and when traveling. It’s so comfortable and I love the feel.

I always wear a thong when travelling.  And the odd time pulled into scanner or secondary I have no issue if they see my thong.  Just feel comfortable in them.

I always wear a thong when I travel. My biggest concern is waking up and having my pants drop low exposing the thong

I have never thought about wearing anything other than a thong. It is may daily underwear. I do agree with others that if you are going to be sitting for long periods of time, a getting or thong with narrow rear strap seems to be more comfortable.

Just returned from a quick 2-day trip to Texas which is about 3 hours each way in the air. I wore a new Cocksox Pro thong on both flights and it was extremely comfortable for the extended periods of sitting.

No need to worry about that! It’s all part of the fun for wearing a thong. I’d love to see a cheeky thing flash on my way down the aisle...

I usually wear thongs when i fly or drive - i don’t like or wear g-strings so that’s not an option for me but when wearing something that’s narrower cut, softer and more elastic that’s the best for me and causes no problems at all.  Joe Snyder bulge thongs are great, Muscleskins posers same...but things like Cocksox thongs are too wide and too ‘cotton’ for me to be comfortable sitting in for that length of time ;)

Yes I have travelled long distance wearing thong and I’ve never found any problem even if I’m sitting for longer time.
The longest air travel I’ve been to wearing thong was around 20+ hours.
My last travel to Japan I took with me TM thongs only. I’ve worn them starting from day 1 till I went back home.

Thong wearing is just a natural thing for me. I, of course I wear a thong when I travel. Fly, drive, train, boat it makes no difference. If the distance is going to be extended I tend to wear one of my N2N soft cotton blend thongs because they are super comfortable. That is what I wore flying from the USA to Australia and back.

Just drove 5hrs yesterday and wore a Muscleskins poser thong the whole time.  Very comfy, great material, no issues.

I do find (sometimes!) that wearing any thong and sitting for a REALLY long time can start to be uncomfortable....but those are extremely rare times for me.  Otherwise I’m used to the feel and love it when the strap snugs up a bit in the back.

I had an unpleasant experience wearing JS bulge thong while driving for 2+ hours. I had sore in the part between my balls and butt.
I forgot to position the part where the pouch and string are joined closer to the balls.
This happens occasionally while wearing bulge type thongs.

That’s happened before.  Around 70% of all of my thongs are tighter fitting like JS...small adjustments do help though.  The looser fitting thongs are perfect for long trips though...as soon as i get to my destination then i often change back once I’m going to the pool, meetings, or whatever...

Yeah I’ve had the same problem with the JS Bulge.
Wearing cock ring should alleviate the problem somehow, that helps in my case.
Of all four JS bulge I own the pouch size seems different, the rainbow is the most comfortable to wear and also it has wider side compared to the rests.

I agree that JS has some inconsistencies in manufacturing...sizing varies a bit (thankfully they’re super stretchy) and the materials aren’t all the same.  My black thong is SUPER stretchy, the red one is least...the royal blue has the tightest fit (love) and the rainbow is right down the middle...

Contrary to mine, the red one is the most stretchy.
I have one JS bulge having loose seam with just few wears only, going to fix it before it’s getting worse [emoji53]

There was a similar thread I posted on but I will post on this one as well. I go for the cheeky style thongs. They seem to be the best at not putting pressure in your crack when sitting on a seat for a long time. and I think they look pretty cool as well.

I travelled a lot before covid happened, and flew multiple 8-20 hour segments every month. More often than not, I would wear a thong or, occasionally a g-string. I've never once felt uncomfortable in them... In fact, some airline cabins get rather warm, and wearing a thong under sweatpants is a life-saver.

What I noticed after taking a few long-haul flights last year was that thongs with a thinner back (but not a g-string) and in a soft, cotton-like material is best for air travel. Modal fabric thongs are my favourite since they are very soft, and I also found that travelling in any mesh or mesh-like material (like nylon microfibre) are the least comfortable for me.

I just returned from a trip that was around 4 hours each way and wore different style Zonbailon thongs on each flight. Both styles were very comfortable and I did not have to adjust anything. I would wear these on longer flights without hesitation.

Always good to have a pleasant flight, especially these days.
Since my daily wear is a thong, I have taken a multitude of flights for the past 20 year wearing a thong under my street clothes. I’ve never had an issue or felt uncomfortable no matter the flight length. I’ve flown from the US to New Zeeland and to Europe as well as cross continent with out a second thought of what I was wearing. I wear what is comfortable for me and that is a thong.
