Does some of you wear them ? I love the style but they are tough to find... Any ideas of brands?

I do. Not sure if it counts but Joe Snyder kini (whic I am wearing in my profile picture) and Bodyaware brand.

I do have a few string bikinis that I wear as underwear and sometimes as swimwear when i can’t get away with a thong.

Cocksox has a nice one.  The Joe Snyder kini is hot.  Muscleskins has one that’s fun too.  I find it tough to get a real string bikini that doesn’t turn into a thong after a bit of walking around :)

In Holland I had a relationship for 15 year. My partner was Italian but lived for 25 year in South America. She detested skimpy under- or swimwear on men. A string bikini (we called it a tanga) was the smallest I could get away with.

if it has the right cut, i LOVE them. Not too wide at the back and not too narrow, center seam front and rear, form fitting pouch, comfortable side straps, stretchy material... then yes, ill buy them in several colors. but those aren't always the easiest to find lol.

I’m quite partial to a Tanga (as we call them over here) for underwear only if the weather is particularly cold. From the front, there as close to a thong as you can get for looks and containment.

Swim Tanga’s are a good starting point/compromise if you’re nervous about beach thronging for the first time.

Muscleskins are good for that...seam in both front/back and great fit!  Fully custom :)

Obviously for men makes amazing string bikinis! Love the cocksox ones too. N2N bodywear also puts them out sometimes!

This is the tanga I could get away with when I was together with my partner. It is a HOM from 1980 with the old logo, a trident. It is still in good shape but it is now a tad tight. Maybe I expanded a little. ;)

That's a stunning string bikini. HOM underwear is one of my favourite brands and I love their vintage stuff. Great that you still have it. How did you find it originally?

I'm not sure where I bought it. It is so long ago. I think it was somewhere in the south of France, maybe St Tropez. It was quite tight because the French sizing is different from the rest of Europe. I had to guess.

After 40+ years the label is still intact. So much for quality. At the time I had no idea of my size in those systems.

That’s in amazing condition considering the age, the stitching looks really good too. They don’t make them like they used to.

Agreed, their swim thongs from about 10 years ago were really superb but they seemed to stop making them unfortunately. I’m still a big fan of their underwear thongs and strings though.

Yes agree a real shame they stopped producing swim thongs. You can sometimes pick them up on eBay although they get pretty expensive. I turned to Olaf Benz swim thongs (sun strings) as a good substitute.

Agree their thongs and strings are great underwear - they make up a substantial part of my collection.

I’ve got through quite a few Olaf Benz sunstrings over the years, great for holiday beach and pool action. Definitely one of my favourite brands.

I like strings and I like bikinis but not at the same time. I prefer the smooth look of a 1” sided bikini or a proper waist band. But the less on the back the better. I like the cheeky styles or half back styles. I do like rios or brazilians but really I would just go for a thong if it is going to be that small.

I absolutely LOVE this tanga! I think thongs, string bikinis, tangas and really small mens briefs are all absolutely sexy to wear and see others wearing. Thongs are really wonderful because of the bulging pouch and the "T bar" that shows off a beautiful round set of buns.

But string bikinis and tanga style bottoms look very alluring on men and women because of the skimpiness over the hip. Comfortable and extremely sexy! A perfect combination.

I think for males string bikinis and tangas were most popular in the 80s when guys seemed to be willing to be outwardly confident in being seen as sex objects. Now with all the big baggy board shorts and boxer briefs it's like most men want to be as dull and unsexy in their swim suits and underwear as possible.

Anyone else equally a fan of thongs and bikinis and tangas? Also, beachlion if you ever DO decide to part with this tanga of yours please let me know! I would LOVE to add it to my collection. :D

Yeah I do like the idea of a string bikini like the amazing pic above.  The look and feel of thin straps over the hips is very hot, and the slightly smaller back and more form fitting/smaller front pouch is VERY sexy to me.

If I am not wearing a thong or gstring, I am wearing a skimpy Brazilian back bikini. Needless to say they always end up riding up my rear end and becoming a thong which is just fine with me!

After only an hour walking around the house this morning you can see how this Joe Snyder Kini turns into a thong. It also rides a little lower and shows just a tease of my thong tan line. I love this style bikini.

I would always prefer to wear a thong on the beach. With me is all depends on who I am with and what beach or pool I am at. My wife is ok with me wearing thongs at home and as my daily underwear of choice but on the beach is a different animal. I typically will wear a brazilian bikini with her on the beach and have worn very cheeky suits with her on the beach as well. My favorite to wear with her on the beach is my Skinzwear M84U. Check it out.
