I've seen it's possible to make groups in that app. What about making a group there?

If you don't want to register using your own phone number, you can get a free virtual phone number and use it to register in Telegram. Hushed does not allow to receive SMSs from services like telegram, but it does allow to receive calls, so you will receive by a call the confirmation code to register in Telegram.
