For the past few years I have been wearing a thong on my local public beaches. Up until two years ago is was rare to see anyone, female or male wear a thong. Over the past couple years there has been a noticeable up tick in the number of women wearing thongs and occasionally a couple men. The acceptance of thongs is noticeable. The other day I was at the beach and there was a group of teenage boys playing volleyball ball near by. The ball landed next to me a couple times and the boys came by got the ball, apologized for the ball coming near me and moved back to their game. A few years ago that would have resulted in some type of snide remark. The women are even more accepting of men in a thong. It has been a refreshing change from a few years ago.
Now I thong on public beaches, smile, act friendly and simply enjoy the beach.

That is awesome that the culture is slowly changing in your area. I hope one day thongs will just be socially acceptable for everyone. I'm in Louisiana and there are no beaches that are clothing optional or not deemed "family" beaches. One day I'm gonna have to travel to Texas or Florida so I can get my bun in the sun.

It’s great to find a beach where you can feel free to be yourself and wear what you want. I am happy that here in Maryland, we can wear thongs on state park beaches.

Another great day at the beach for me. I wore this strawberry print thong today. There wear several women out in thong bikinis as well. I had a couple of moms with children set up fairly near by and start up a conversation with me. It was the most normal thing. I didn’t get a few comment from some beach goers about my suit and how much they liked the strawberry print. A friend brought her paddle board and let me paddle around on it for a bit.

There's only one decent beach in my city, and it's a small urban beach. I've thonged at this beach numerous times, and I've never had any issues. In fact, I find this beach to be too tame for my liking. There are only 3-4 girls in true thongs and I usually have the skimpiest suit on at the beach.
Unlike RCBlue, I rarely get comments from other beachgoers. Maybe it's because I'm in Canada. Canadians are known to be friendly but they can be reserved.

Like you I often have the skimpiest thong on the beach.
It helps that I often have a friend or friends that join me on the beach. I sometimes think that having someone with you helps others see you as normal/friendly/acceptable.
But even alone, I often meet people. Smile, be friendly and act with confidence.

It helps that I often have a friend or friends that join me on the beach. I sometimes think that having someone with you helps others see you as normal/friendly/acceptable.

I had to make today a beach day. The forecast for the week is dreadful. Today was supposed to be sunny and warm. And while the day started out sunny it is now raining again. I got to the beach early, only a few people were there. I stripped down to my N2N thong with the quick release buckle at the hip and set up. A short time later I had two women walk past me. The both said HI gave me a big smile and set up near by. About 30 minutes went by and I went to test the water. It was chilly the women made comment about the cold water and we began a conversation. They mentioned that they liked my suit, with big smiles. A while later a group of young women showed up. I got several Hi’s and a couple “Sexy” comments from them. I had several family’s set up between me and the waters edge. Everyone was very casual. A couple of the mothers held a brief conversation with me a I was standing on the beach. There were many women I cheeky and thong bikinis today. I think everyone wanted a beach day before the nexts several days of rain.

Went thonging yesterday, and this time I went to an artificial beach in a touristy area in my city. Since this beach was in a touristy area, there were fences and attendants at the beach. I got to the beach at 11am, and I had plenty of space to myself. I chose a spot and started taking photos of myself in a thong.
About 15 minutes later, one of the attendants approached me and asked me to cover up. Like I said, this was in a touristy area and the attendant said there could be families with young children in the area. I was allowed to have my thong on but the attendant said I had to cover my butt.
This was the first time someone had a problem with my thong, but I understood where she was coming from so I didn't argue back. Once I got the message, I walked around the beach to see if there were any thongers. Unfortunately, all the girls who came to the beach had full butt coverage.
For the next 3 hours, I just sat in a beach chair and tanned the front. People who saw me might have thought that I had a speedo on, but in fact I was just sitting in a thong. One girl looked at me with curiousity, but overall no one batted an eyelid.

I spent the day at the beach today. Interestingly enough I was the only person wearing a thong. There were a few women later in the day wearing very cheeky bikinis. Nonetheless, I spent the day with friends a few new. I was told I was “Sexy AF” in my thong. I was invited to a pool party next week and told I could wear the smallest thong I own, “would you please.”

I agree I am fortunate to have friends and others so accepting. It is fun. I the only man wearing a thong at the beach I go to. I have a friend that will wear a Speedo cut suit. All others are in shorts. But it’s no big deal. The women all wear anything from one piece suits to traditional bikinis to cheeky bikinis. It sounds like the pool party will be much more exposure for everyone. It could be an interesting day.
The best thing about my friends is when on the beach and there is a person who starts making negative comments about me in a thong, they jump in and defend my choice and quell the comments from the naysayers. It’s very empowering.

I have been wearing a thong on the beach for a number of years. I rarely wear anything more. So, I met my friend while at the beach in a thong.the first woman liked my confidence and thought I was sexy so she asked me to join her and her friend. The next time I was at the beach she waved me over and asked me to join her. Then her male friend showed up and stripped down to a Speedo. Over time a few more people joined the group. Everyone of them I was introduced to whale wearing one of my swim thongs. Then I had a few more women introduced themselves over time when I was there alone; but they had seen me with my other friends. They liked my confidence and saw I was friendly. I have one woman that will show up in a thong now and then. She decided that if I could she could. It was all very organic with everyone simply accepting me for who I am.

I see, so this is a circle of friends you've met while literally wearing a thong. That's a really efficient way to have accepting friends!
Recently my wife and I were hanging out with some friends and one of the women mentioned we should do a beach day. MY mind instantly went to thinking about the drama it would cause if I showed up to such an outing in a thong. Maybe we'd all have a good laugh and it wouldn't be a big deal. Who knows

Yes I’ve met my beach friends while at the beach wearing a thong. It is a great way to have supportive and accepting friends.
I do believe there is a need to access the group you may be with before stripping down to a thong. I have several friends that would not be happy with seeing me in a thong. Albeit, I have more friends that either are accepting or encouraging.

Now that the summer is over I’ve been reflecting back on the season that was. I must say it was a great summer for me. It started back in March when I made a trip to Ft. Lauderdale, FL to spend a week on the beach. Every day I was there I wore a thong. It was wonderful. When I retuned home I couldn’t wait for summer to begin. The first local beach day in May I met a friend at the beach as immediately stripped down to a sexy little thong. I got compliments on my choice of swimwear and had a great first day. The rest of the summer I wore a different thong each day I went to the beach. My friends noticed, a few of the regular beach goers noticed and I made some new friends as a result. By mid July my tan was sufficient enough to have a well defined thong tanline. As the crowds thinned in August and through September I began to wear some of my more fun and exotic styles (nothing offensive or exposing). By the end of October the season came to an end. As always I find myself longing for more beach time, more time wearing a thong at a beach and more time with my friends. For the long cold winter I’ll be dreaming of the beach, looking at retailer for new styles or prints and planing a week away to a beach to break away from the piles of snow.
May new year be even better for all of us who choose to wear thongs at rhe beaches and pools.

I have had better years in the past, but this year's thonging season wasn't a bad one. My beach season started in April when the temperature went up to 20C. In May and June, the urban beach that I went to wasn't too crowded, so I had some good beach days during those months. In July and August, I thonged at my gym pool, and fortunately I was not the only thonger at the pool. Also in August, I attended an outdoor event on a wharf, and I was able to sport a thong at the event. This one lady called me g-string boy at the event, but other than that no one batted an eyelid.
I had a few beach days in September and October, but the beach season was pretty much over by then and I was the only person on the beach in a swimsuit.
I hope to travel next year, and I want to make my thonging more global next year.

This past summer was my first time thonging on the beach. They've been great experiences, but work and business kept us away from the beach as much we'd like. Where I live, winter is just a series of cold fronts alternating with warm weather. I'm hoping to make it to the beach next week in a new Skinzwear G-string. I hope you guys living in cold places can fit in a warm vacation at some point. I would hate to have to wait 6 months before hitting the beach again.

When does beach season start in your town or city? I live in Montreal, Canada, and beach season here starts in May and ends in September. I don't go to the beach in July and August because that's when kids have their summer break and the beach can get crowded. May is my favorite month to go thonging because the kids are still in school. What is your favorite month to go thonging?

The weather here is finally getting consistently warm enough again to start thinking about the beach. We're hoping to fit in a couple beach days this month. Reading my last post from November, we unfortunately couldn't make that last beach day of 2021 happen, but it's really only been a couple months of cold weather.

For me beach season begins the end of May and goes through mid October. If I’m lucky I’ll get a few days here or there between the end of April and the end of May. But the big lakes don’t warm any to fast and that has an effect on being on the beach even on a bright sunny day. I’ve been on the beach with the wind coming off the water and left because of the cold. Drive a mile or two inland and you’d never know how cold it was at the beach. Got to love the Great Lakes in spring.

As I am looking at sun and blue sky today I have begun the process of looking forward to a sensational summer season. I’ve been mining through my swim things, new and old. I have made a decision to wear a different thong each day I go to the beach this coming summer. Given where I live the early season will have fewer people at the beach and I will wear a few of my more exotic thongs (nothing completely shear or inappropriate), tie sides, multi straps, and the like. Once school is released I’ll be in my more traditional thongs but with bright colors and metallics/holographic material. By the end of the season I will progress to my more exotic thing styles again. Now all I need is a few warm days to kick start the beach and I’ll be ready to go.

I am also looking forward to this summer. I am hoping to hit the beach starting May. My body is not perfect, but I plan to get a full body wax before my first beach outing.

I have organized my thong swimwear and have everything set to wear a different thong each day I head out this new beach season. I probably have enough to wear two different thongs each beach day (3-4 days a week) for two years.

It hit 81Fdegrees today and I was on my local beach for the afternoon. The most surprising thing was that nearly every woman was wearing a thong or very cheeky bikini. When I say nearly every woman I mean out of the 35 women there was 2 in full coverage bottoms. Of course no other men were wearing anything other than board shorts. If this is a sign for the summer season, it going to be great.

I had my first beach outing a few days ago when the temperature went up to 85 Farenheit (30 degrees Celsius). I was the only male thonger on the beach, but there were quite a few females in thongs. Since I was at an urban beach, not everyone was in their swimsuits, and some women were laying out in their underwear.

I just finished my second day at the beach this week. Yesterday I had the company of friends. I do thing my female friend likes to show me off. I wore a lime green/black N2N Maverick thong. She had me walking to the water, past groups of other beach goers, and finding excuses for me to get up and help her with this, that and the other thing. BTW the N2N thong I wore was new. It was the first time I wore it. I am very happy with this thong. Because I was up and moving around very frequently I know the whole beach saw me.
Today the beach was mostly empty (strange for a Saturday). I wore a purple holographic print thong that sparkled in the sun. At one point today I had a woman approach me. “Excuse me, I was here yesterday and wanted to come over then, but didn’t. I am happy you are here again today…” We had a nice conversation. She said she has noticed me several times and liked my choice of swimwear, then told me how confident I must be.

I just picked up a couple inexpensive "Gary Majdell" thongs off Amazon. We've got an upcoming vacation so I wanted a few more swim options. These fit nicely and a bit more of a conservative cut. I look forward to trying them out on the beach

I just got back from the beach in Mexico. Walked 2 miles both ways, 8 miles total daily in my thong on the beach. My wife wouldn't walk with me, to much walking for her. But I saw a lot, and a lot saw me.. :)

Yes, it's nice to see a lot of thongs and g-strings on the beach. Whenever I go to the beach, I set camp next to a female thonger.

I've been thonging at the beach a lot this summer. its very close to my home so I just have to be mindful of whether any friends are nearby.

Any one ever worn nude colored thongs to the beach? I'm wondering what sort of reaction that might draw, recognizing that it'll really look like I'm nude from a distance.
I just ordered a pair so I'll find out soon.

Not sure about nude color thong, but just the other day I wore a copper color thong at the beach. As I was coming out of the water one of my friends told me that all the eyes on the beach were on me because I looked like I was naked from a distance. The color of my thong blended welll with the color of my skin. I did not that as the day went on a few people purposely took a walk close by to check things out for themselves. Here were plenty of smiles as people passed by.

Looks like the end of wearing a thong at the beach locally has come to an end for me this season. It was below freezing this morning. I had one last day out this past Thursday. I met up with a coup,e of friends, otherwise the beach was empty. The next opportunity to wear a thong publicly will be in December when I have a week long conference to attend in Florida. I know I’ll be at the pool some part of each day and the day before and two days after the conference. I’m starting to plan now which things to bring along.

I am currently in Vancouver, Canada and the weather here has been great lately. I went to two different beaches in Vancouver last week, and on both occasions, I was the only male thonger at the beach.
