Just came back from a late June visit to Naples and I had my kayak with me.  Keywadin island is a long stretch of nearly deserted white sand beach that stretches from Gordon Pass to just north of Marco Island.  The southern tip of Keywadin is frequented by boaters and is packed on the weekend.  However during the week the rest of the gulf side is pretty much isolated.  Boaters will beach along its stretches but you can find a secluded space to work on the thong tan line.  I was passed by a DNR employee (there are protected sea turtle nests, don't touch) on an ATV but by this time I was packing up the kayak heading back.

In Ohio it’s the other way round, legal in the state park, elsewhere you have to ask.

I never liked my junk flopping around when I sleep but there is something soothing with the bed sheets sweeping across the buns so the thong is my choice.

I started another thread “If you have the body for it.”  Every body has the body for it.  I am tried of the stereotype only underwear models can wear them publicly (wear/where permitted).  I’m older with a few sags here and there butt after a summer of tanning on the beach in Ohio I have found that my confidence in general has improved.  Loose the dorky board shorts and boost your confidence.

As a bear you need to ‘bare the buns.’  One thing I have found about thonging at the beach is that it has improved my self confidence overall.  I keep in mind though that I am a minimalist not an exhibitionist so gauging the temperament of the beach crowd is important.  I don’t openly walk around families with children, we need to keep thonging respectable (continual work is needed in this area).  In closing I did get a complement from a pair of college dudes, ‘I admire your confidence.’  With that in mind, just do it.

One major theme I have seen in this forum is that there are many straight men who openly wear (pun intended) thongs.  I am glad that this is the case.  What bothers me in doing generic searches on the Internet is that you have to have the right body type to wear a thong not just as underwear but out in public, where/wear permitted.  I’m older, no six pack ads, slim but with the love handles, ok on the back side.  We need more confidence to wear them openly on the beach. I suspect that a majority of us would not qualify as a thong model.  I say bare the buns, enjoy the freedom regardless if you have the body for it.
