I remember seeing those on the shelves at Macys! What’s happened to the big underwear industry these days - i recall everyone making a thong then they backed off!
Good question. Calvin Klein, Jockey, 2xist, they all made great products years ago but have since kind of lost their way. In the 80s-90s, CK made great string/sport bikinis and they had one thong (more like g-string) but it honestly wasn't that great because the pouch had no support. They really hit it with the 'Body' line in microfiber/seamfree which is where this thong came from. I also had/have them in white, black, gray, navy blue, & red. Since then, I've not been impressed with the CK One, Body, or Mesh lines which also featured a thong. The pouch is the same, the thong is the same, no innovation, nothing that really fits great. Jockey lost there way a LONG time ago which is sad. And 2xist hasn't really done anything original since their first product line and everything since then has just been the same designs rehashed over and over again in new colors or materials. Thankfully, we have a lot of boutique brands that make excellent underwear products today and that are always creating new and unique products.
