Major brands suck though. And they have all experimented with making thongs. I can only speak to the United States market though. Just realize, most people buy cheap underwear from walmart here. If you want name brand then those websites are where you are going to find them.

Also, there is no clear definition of Major Brands. I would consider everything I listed Major brands. They are just not something you can buy in very many brick and mortar stores.
