I don't know what the standing ones are. I usually lie down when I go sunbathing.

here in ireland we have two types - and im sure they are available in most european countries..
when u lie down sometimes there is a white circle just above your butt.. so i do go to the standing ones more often.

It is Lycra like so it can be used as swimwear but I thing it is sold as underwear. I ve worn it as swimwear to the beach a couple of times. The brand is punto blanco and I bought it a couple of years ago in Corte Fiel in Madrid
