Agree with all of that.  I’ve found very few guys into wearing thongs, they love that i wear them but they don’t wear them.  Jocks can be nice but as a gay/bottom i just like the whole thong experience...the snug pouch, skimpy look and feel, the strap up the back...love it all

From my reading over the years.  Men wore thongs long before women did, even back in the rock ages.   Men wore loin cloths which were not far off of a thong.

That's what I found in my research into men's thongs too.

I live in Melbourne Australia and I’ve never seen another guy (apart from my partner) in a thong. I go to the gym regularly... never seen a guy in a thong. I shower and change at work every day, in a large office building and have never seen a guy in a thong.

I’m sure men are wearing them... but I haven’t seen another thonger in a public change room yet.

I was at a Japanese Spa once and a straight guy commented on me wearing a jock strap and asked where I got it from.

I believe It’s not that common in Australia (yet...)

Hey mate. Fellow Melb guy here.
I usually see a few guys wearing a thong down at Port Melb beach every time I go there on a nice sunny day.
