not sure if the links will work xD but if you just type 'fundoshi' in aliexpress, the first items are actually thongs that just look like fundoshi, that you dont actually have to bother with tying and everything. AND theyre inexpensive, just have to wait a month or two for shipping lol. but definitely order a size up [im usually medium but order L/XL] because theyre made in countries where overall people are more petit than I am.

these are pretty comfy and pretty stretchy and i love them, so they're definitely in my rotation.

I have a rokushaku and an ecchu fundoshi, though I only wear them for special occasions. I really enjoy both.

Not sure why, but fundoshi never appealed to me...suppose i just like the sleeker look of a more classic or bulge spandex thong vs. cotton rolled/wrapped.  Perhaps just me but i like that there are options out there for everyone to explore!

i bought some of these online and i love them. super comfy and stretchy, no need to worry about tying them  yourself. PERFECT for lounging around the house. maybe good for a sauna... but i dont have a sauna lol. suuuuper cheap too. i have like seven in four colors.
