You’re right, spring is fast approaching here but it’s nowhere near warm enough to be outside in a thong or less!

I do try here, weather and quiet location permitting but, my thong walks usually take place in Southern Europe. I’ll let you know how I get on though.

I love being able to go for walks in my thongs. The only real opportunity I get to do so is on the beach - I'll strip down to a swim thong and put the rest of my clothes in a backpack and then go for a good walk. The better beaches will have long stretches and then rocks to explore. It really feels fantastic.

Nice seat? That could mean a couple of things on here ;)

I’ve only walked in a thong on the beach and it was whilst I was on holidays overseas. It’s very uncommon to see a thong guy in Australia.

I have done this in many places in Australia, many times over the thirty-odd years that I’ve been wearing thongs.
The most regular ones I do are my two local beaches. They are in Port Stephens NSW. I have walked both while they are completely deserted and in peak holiday times. One is about 3km long with a rocky outcrop half way. The other is a total of 32km, of which I have covered up to 10km from one direction.
I have walked dozens of beaches along our beautiful East Coast.
Byron Bay is a great place to do it, and I have walked dozens of times between Wategos Beach to the east, right along the (always) crowded Main Beach, and usually up to Tyagarah - the nude area (right up to Brunswick Heads on occasion).
I have walked the entire length of Manly and Bondi Beaches in the Sydney area several times.
In Melbourne I walked from St Kilda Beach down to the Spirit Station Pier where the Spirit of Tasmania docks. I’ve done that a few times, and once along the boardwalk between the road and the beach.
In Queensland I have walked Trinity Beach near Cairns, and several times from the Spit to Cavill Ave in Surfers Paradise.
This is my way to get exercise, immerse in the freedom of wandering around in a thong, enjoy the beach environment an weather that I love so much, and relishing in the fact that it is completely legal in Australia and I can do it wherever I am brave enough.
AussieThongGuy is correct in saying that it is very rare to see another guy in a thong over here. Recently it has thankfully become very common to see females in all types and styles of thongs and g-strings, a trend I hope becomes a more permanent thing. With the help of a few Australian brands, men in briefs is becoming more common, but not so for thongs.
Being out in mine just as anyone would in shorts is my way of championing the cause. I do get many looks and double takes, a few snide remarks or yells occasionally, and even a few compliments. I think doing stuff in a thong that people ordinarily do in their swimwear goes someway to help ‘normalise’ thong wearing in these public situations.
If you love being outdoors in your thong, you have to try a nice long beach walk. There’s nothing like it!

Great to hear you've been doing it for so long - I agree there's nothing quite like the feeling of strolling along the beach in your thong and that's coming from someone like me who is a naturist.

Sorry to hear you've been subject to people yelling bad things but equally good to hear you've had compliments - I think as you say the key is being brave enough to be yourself and wear what makes you feel good. Sometimes easier said than done of course.

i'm sort of a nigh owl... I actually thought about going for walks at around  2 am in just my thong. I live in Fort lauderdale and that time there is no one in sight especially during this quarantine... i'll let you know if i decide to do it.
I’ve had similar thoughts but instead getting up early and going out at something like 5am. We’d need the lockdown to end and some good weather though. Here’s hoping that in a few months things will have improved for everybody.

Go for it.. go out when its late and only a few people will be around, leave a key hidden so you can get in your house, give yourself a decent walk home, take a bag for your clothes and once stripped off to your thong stash the bag so you can pick it up the next day, then walk home. I bet your heart will be beating quite fast on that walk..

Absolutely love the idea of this, hiding a key then walking off somewhere before stripping and stashing ‘most’ of your clothes. Not sure if I could see it through where I live though. If I was staying somewhere a bit more quiet and remote then maybe. Thanks for putting the idea in my head.

I did this a few times some 15 years ago. Then I went on vacations on a bike from the Netherlands, where I lived, to Belgium, France and Germany. To avoid the crowds, I went off season. After setting up my tent I would walk out of the camp site after dark and strip to a thong where it was quiet. In Germany, I walked over a dyke along the Rhine for about 5 mile in the middle of nowhere. I hid shorts close to the camp entrance so I had to brave any traffic or duck in the ditch next to the road. I found it quite exciting.
