My BFF also wears thongs and even introduced me to them BITD (early 90's). He doesn't wear them as often now but he's the ONLY friend i have that knows I wear them and the same is true for him. We've bought each other undies over the years, partly as a joke, but because we know what the other will like. As a matter of fact, I sent him some Obviously undies yesterday so I can't wait to get his message when he opens the box that he is not expecting.

That's nice. It's great that you guys are giving gifts to each other. Do you guys go tanning together or go shopping together? Anyway, did your friend like your gift?

Yes, we do shop, gym, swim, spend the night, generally hang-out, you name it. He loved the gift and even sent me a pic.

personally i know about 3-4 guys who wear thongs a lot but that's only b/c we've either dated or i know them well enough that its come up somehow.  The fact is, i don't know what lot of people wear as underwear and i haven't asked...but it would be great to just 'know' other guys wore them without it coming up as a topic!  i like looking at guys in thongs, sure, but when dating, i prefer someone who actually looks great in a sexy bikini/brief/jock or something like that!

That’s so cool that you know someone who wears them - i don’t know anyone who wears thongs.  Guys i’ve Dated really like that i’m Into them...so they’re aware but don’t wear them personally.

Yeah same here - most of my close friends are gay and know about my thonging habit and comment/see them on me from time to time but don’t wear them.  I’ve asked why not and they say just not into them.  Oh well...their loss

My brother was an adult when he started. He only wears them casually. We don’t live near each other to be able to hang out together.

I agree - that seems to be the consensus...comfort.  There is a strong public perception of guys who wear thongs...straight/gay/whatever you are, outside of pure comfort factor, i think that some guys are just nervous to be a thong wearer and have people find out!  I have to say that outside of the few people i see at the gym, i have NO idea what anyone wears...but some guys might want to stick to what’s ‘conventional’.   Just a thought...
